We’re excited to release Mozaik 14.0 through our Open Beta release. This release is fully featured, thoroughly tested, and ready for live deployment. This gives you early access to the features and improvements, while we finalize training materials, resource libraries, and additional support content.

Before updating, we suggest watching the full feature overview. In the coming days, we’ll be rolling out additional training videos to help you get up and running.

Please read all update documentation and watch all available videos on each newer version when updating. When updating to a new major release, we recommend creating a full backup of Mozaik first.

Please see the full list of features and improvements below:

Materials and Textures

  • Textures in the 3D viewer are now derived from the materials used, which will result in more accurate 3D views.
  • Material templates can now be overridden at the room or cabinet level resulting in much fewer material templates needed for unique situations.
  • Material templates can now be specified at the base/wall/tall level per room.
  • Added Texture Groups to allow users to group various textures together and have them apply to a material. Examples of a texture group would include stains, paints, Egger TFL colors, etc. Materials with texture groups applied will be limited to the texture images within that group.
  • Textures in Mozaik can now have various "Sheen" levels set for them, as well as different visual widths and heights, Pricing, Transparency, Metallicness, or Clear Glass properties.
  • Added the ability to specify whether a texture has grain and derive whether a part can be rotated or not in the optimizer based on its graphic texture.
  • Introducing Dynamic Materials - Materials may now have {Texture} or {TexAbbr} in the cutlist name or abbr. fields, creating a new material for each texture assigned to it. For example a material with a cutlist name of 18mm Egger_{Texture} will result in 18mm Egger_Halifax Oak if “Halifax Oak” is used as the graphic texture. This will result in fewer materials and templates needed for users using prefinished materials.
  • Added 2 new categories of EdgeBand part types - EdgeBand5 and EdgeBand6
  • Added the ability to give a unique label or comment to edge banding numbers in Parts Library. For example, if you use Edgeband #3 for doors, you can add a label for “doors” to the banding to make it easier to track.
  • The Materials Library now allows headers to make it easier to organize.
  • Part textures in the 3D viewer are now always aligned according to the particular part orientation, including diagonals.
  • Added the option to price materials by board feet.
  • Added a textures table in Pricing - Option to price textures area as a separate category
  • Added a variety of new graphic only room-level texture categories and corresponding item types/subtypes and insert types have been added. For example we have added upholstery texture type, and changing this will change the color of a sofa, assuming the SKP is painted with the default color.

3D Viewer

Picture5.png
  • Improved the navigation in the 3D viewer to make it easier to get the ideal view of your designs.
  • Improved the visual quality of the 3D viewer, including the ability to visualize various sheens of materials.
  • Added the ability to light the room with a HDRI environment leading to more attractive appearance and better visualization of a material’s sheen.
  • Added 3D viewer settings to control the opacity of lines.
  • Added performance settings to ensure the 3D viewer performs to the best of its ability based on individual hardware specifications.
  • Orbiting in the 3D viewer should now orbit around the object you clicked on
  • Added the ability to save 3D viewer settings and preferences as defaults.

Mozaik Cloud Rendering

Picture4.png
  • Added a cloud rendering engine to Mozaik to create physically based photorealistic rendered images of your designs. Renderings are processed on our cloud servers, eliminating the need for high-performance local hardware.
  • Materials rendered will now show realistic lighting conditions, including the ability to light a rendering using a HDRI image.
  • Added the ability to render mirror reflections, as well as realistic glass materials.
  • Added a “Lights” Hardware item allowing users to specify spot or linear lights, and account for them in plans and pricing. Lighting will visually show up in Cloud Renderings only.
  • New Batch Rendering feature allowing to Mozaik to render multiple images at once.
  • Added an expanded export option to export renderings including title blocks.

CAD

2025-05-16 22_42_47-14.0 Release Notes.docx - Word.png
  • A new CAD Toolbar has been added to the Products and Tops tab, allowing you to add CAD and Annotation items directly on your designs. Items added here are visible and editable in Multiprint, and vice versa.
  • Added new tools in Multiprint: Offset, Trim, Extend, Join, Explode, Divide, 3-Point Arc
  • Annotation Layers were added to allow users to categorize their CAD and Annotation items and control the color and visibility. An example would be “Customer Notes” or “Shop Notes”
  • Products that are dropped into CAD  shapes have the option to conform to those shapes automatically.
  • Added the Ability to type in measurements when using the Move tool.
  • Polylines and polygons can now be locked to 45/90 angles when drawing and measurements may now be typed in.
  • Polylines may be connected to their own beginning while drawing so they form a closed polygon automatically
  • Various snapping and user experience improvements to CAD tools.

Drawings and Layers

Picture3.png
  • Added a new Drawing Templates editor. Templates must be saved via this editor. The new menu can be found at File>Preferences>Drawing templates.
  • Added the ability to hide and overrides (Add or change text) individual automatically places dimension items on plans and elevations. These overrides will be removed with relevant changes to the design.
  • Added a new drawing mode that will display drawings using a color derived from the texture being used.
  • Added new "Multiprint Font Points" font scaling type in the Products Tab, etc. to ensure that dimensions and text appear as they will when printed or exported. Auto-dimension padding can now be set to use multiprint pixels so that it scales more consistently with respect to zoom.
  • Door swings on floor plans will now draw for all face types - unless a bifold hinge is applied
  • DXF imports to multiprint may now be imported in inches.
  • Line weights now show up as a number on the layers view
  • Custom cutlist tables are now accessible as automated lists in Multiprint
  • Various new dimension options  including "Outside" positioning, "Closed Arrow" and "Dot" end styles, "Fixed" positioning logic, etc.’ Dimensions can now use open arrows or dots
  • Notes may now have transparent backgrounds
  • Added new wall angle layer to floorplans
  • Refactored auto-dimensions and user added dimensions to ensure they look more consistent.

Cyncly Payments

Picture2.png

  • Integrated the Cyncly Payments service to the pricing tab. Mozaik customers can now generate credit card or ACH payment links and send them to their customers in second. Sign up directly via the pricing tab “Sign Up” button, or by emailing paymentsinfo@cyncly.com. Available to customers in the USA only.

Import Updated Data

Picture1.png
  • New design and features for Import Updated Data, with new data including inserts, textures, and products, etc.

Other changes

  • Added new 2 label image types to show parts with banding material abbreviations rather than template labels
  • Sketchup export overhaul - all non-SKP-model objects are now exported as Mozaik generated meshes so everything will match our viewer consistently
  • Door cutouts in walls no longer add an elevation adjustment to prevent touching the floor
  • Added a "Room Notes" option.
  • Added new "Above Wall Cabinet" snap-to selection
  • Metal drawer parts will now be listed as parts in Assembly Sheet tables instead of as whole drawer boxes
  • The TScribeWRef parameter now applies to both wall and tall cabinets
  • Added an Invoice or Quote number in pricing tab, as well as various formatting options.
