If you're upgrading your computer and need to move your Mozaik license, just follow these steps.
1. Install Mozaik on your new computer
First, download and install Mozaik on your new machine. You can download the installer from here.
Once it's installed, it's a good idea to update Mozaik to the latest version. You can find instructions on how to do this in the "How to update Mozaik Software to the latest version" guide. Making sure you're running the most current version will help everything run smoothly.
After updating, open Mozaik. You'll be given a new User ID number. This number is unique to your new computer and isn't transferable. Make a note of this new User ID, as you'll need it soon.
2. Transfer your Mozaik data
Now, let's get your data from your old computer.
- On your old computer, go to your
C:\
drive and copy the entire Mozaik folder (so,C:\Mozaik
). - Paste this folder onto a USB drive.
- Insert the USB drive into your new computer.

Copy the Mozaik folder from the USB drive and paste it into
C:\
on your new computer. This will overwrite the existing Mozaik folder, bringing over all your previous files and settings.
3. Retrieve the User ID from your old computer
Next, you'll need the User ID from your old computer.
- On your old computer, open Mozaik.
- Go to the Help menu and click on About.
You'll see a screen displaying your old computer's User ID number. Write this down.

4. Request a license transfer
With both User IDs in hand, you're ready to request the license transfer.
- Email help@cadmate.com.au to ask for your license to be transferred from your old User ID to your new one.
You can use this email template as a guide:
Hi Mozaik team,
I would like to transfer our license for Mozaik to a new computer, and deactivate my current computer.
Our company name is: [Your Company Name]
Our current computer UserID is: [Old Computer's User ID]
Please transfer this seat to our new computer User ID, which is: [New Computer's User ID]
Thank you,
[Your Name]
5. Activate Mozaik on on your new computer
The Mozaik team will usually respond within 1-2 business days with a new Authorization Code for your new UserID.
Once you receive it, copy the Authorization Code and paste it into the provided area within Mozaik on your new computer to activate your license.
